Talented Juniors at Cotswold

A raft of Gloucestershires best young Bowlers took part in the Gloucester Bowls Associations Junior Singles Competition at Cotswold Bowls Club on Sunday last. Twelve players took part aged from 12-25 years of age and demonstrated what great talent the County has to offer. Finley Williamson was the youngest player there but he is no stranger to quality competitive bowls competitions having previously won the Junior Pairs National Championship. The competition was played on a ‘knock out’ format concluding with two semi finals played between Nathan Kitchen, who is in the England National under 25 squad, and Jack Daniels. The final score being Kitchen 21, Daniels 16. The second semi final saw Josh Phillips beat Alex White 21 -10. The semi final winners will now go forward to the Counties Finals day on 1st. September at Barnwood Bowls Club.
